The bin is a severely damaged stone structure, semicircular in form, delimiting ^stair5 to the south. The western portion is built on top of wall ^wall13 and on top of ^stair3, whereas the northern side is set against the southern edge of stair ^stair3. The structure, which in the excavations is called a ‘bin’, measures 2.43 m east-west and 3.10 m north-south occupying a surface of about 7 m2. The plan has a half mound shape, where its eastern edge is in line with the fifth step of ^stair5 and the semicircle ends in line with the first step of the stair. A dressed rectangular large stone is set on top of the northern wall and on the stone of the third step of ^stair3. The structure is built up of medium and small sized stones, set in a loose way due to collapse or damage. The lower portion consists of an irregular mass of stones, which rest partly on top of ^stair3. [Input: ZK630pC.j] |
